In his speech to a graduating class at Stanford, Steve Jobs said, “for the past 33 years I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: 'If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?
This quote is powerful.
I wish I am able to regularly pause the hustle and bustle my daily life to look into the mirror and ask myself this question in light of being a service to others.
What I mean is being aware why I do what I do and how can it help to make the world a better place.
I am aware that the moment will come come when my life will flash before my eyes. I hope, it will worth watching it. I believe the practice of self-awareness is one of the most important skills that we need to nurture in ourselves as no one else can ever teach us this.
Most importantly, it enables me to design work that works for me, so I can design my life on my terms.
Let's discover together how we can nuture self-awareness in my next blog.
